In this work, a pyrazolyl ligand and SO42- were used to synthesize a MOF (MOF-SO4) with ultrahigh proton conductivity properties (0.104 S cm-1 at 90 °C and 98% RH). Furthermore, when MOF-SO4 was combined with sodium alginate, the resulting composite not only had better proton conductivity (0.177 S cm-1), but also maintained enhanced proton conductivity under a broader range of tested temperature and humidity conditions compared with pristine MOF-SO4.
