The theme of World SCI Day 2025--"Fall Prevention, Spinal Cord Protection"--highlights the urgent need to address this issue through proactive measures. Effective fall prevention requires a multipronged approach that combines home and community safety interventions, medical screening, occupational safeguards, and the integration of technology such as wearable devices and mobile applications. Equally important is the role of health systems in incorporating fall risk screening into routine care and ensuring access to rehabilitation and preventive services. For India, prevention represents not only a clinical necessity but also a social and economic imperative, as a single fall-related SCI can alter the trajectory of entire families.
