1Institut für Sozialmedizin, Arbeitsmedizin und Public Health (ISAP), Universität Leipzig, Leipzig, Deutschland.
Objective:
This study investigates the demand for, influencing factors of, ideal design, and key challenges of part-time measures (PTM) from the perspective of experts.
Methods:
A guideline-based focus group with six experts from vocational rehabilitation was conducted, recorded, transcribed, and analyzed.
Results:
Experts reported a growing and heterogeneous demand for PTM. Influencing factors included reduced work capacity, mental health, family responsibilities, limited mobility, societal changes, and program duration. Hybrid models were considered potentially promising. Key challenges involved legal and professional frameworks, financial aspects, program duration, and organizational requirements.
Conclusion:
PTM represent a meaningful complement to full-time programs. Sustainable implementation requires clear frameworks, independent concepts, and consideration of organizational and financial aspects.
