Abstract:
On June 18, 2025, the Connecting Research to Health Justice in Local Contexts symposium, hosted by Morehouse School of Medicine (Atlanta, Georgia), brought together experts across academia, clinical care, policy, and community organizations to explore scalable strategies for embedding equity in biomedical and artificial intelligence innovation, policy, funding, and clinical practice. The insights and recommendations presented in this article are drawn from the discussions, models, and evidence highlighted during the symposium. When developed and evaluated in partnership with communities, these technologies can support earlier diagnosis, more personalized care, and improved outcomes.
