Structural phase-transition materials have already received widespread attention due to their powerful functional features. However, for emerging Dion-Jacobson-type perovskites with strong intrinsic molecular interactions it is difficult to undergo structural phase transitions. Here, we synthesized a novel Dion-Jacobson (DJ) hybrid perovskite, (R)-3-(dimethylamino)pyrrolidinium tetrabromidoplumbate(III), (C6H16N2)[PbBr4] (PPB), by introducing a single chiral organic component. Experimental evidence reveals that PPB exhibits an isomorphic phase transition accompanied by a dielectric transition and a second-harmonic generation (SHG) response. This work presents a new phase-transition DJ hybrid perovskite functional material.
