Summary

Programmed death-1 (PD-1) and programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) was infrequent but associated with poorer survival. These findings suggest PD-1/PD-L1 may indicate poor prognosis in AML patients.
