African Ancestry-Specific OCT Normative Database Alters Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer Classification in Primary

An ancestry-specific retinal nerve fiber layer database may reduce overdiagnosis of primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) in African ancestry individuals. This study found fewer abnormal classifications when using a tailored approach compared to the standard Cirrus database.
