Abstract:
Multiple actinic keratoses(AK)with field cancerization and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma(cSCC) are difficult to treat in dermatology. These diseases represent different stages of keratinocyte damage and have common treatment approaches. Available treatment methods include drug therapy, surgery, cryotherapy, and photodynamic therapy (PDT). However, in elderly patients with extensive and multiple lesions, it is difficult to completely clear the lesions with a single therapy. This article presents two elderly patients with multiple actinic keratoses, one of whom was also diagnosed with well-differentiated cSCC. PDT combined with cryotherapy and surgery was applied to the two patients, respectively, achieving favorable therapeutic and cosmetic outcomes with good patient tolerance.
