Bioactive components in preterm and term human milk compared to donor human milk: A pilot study

Summary

Mother's own milk (MOM) from preterm and term mothers is comparable in bioactive components. Donor human milk (DHM) has lower levels of milk fat globule membrane (MFGM) and associated proteins, suggesting reduced bioactive potential for preterm infants.
