Abstract:
In the OPTIFIL study that included 39 patients with localized invasive pulmonary aspergillosis complicating hematological malignancies, Aspergillus-specific IFNγ-producing T cells were detectable in 41% of the patients and predicted better 6-weeks outcomes, while their absence correlated with uncontrolled disease. Lymphopenia was the main limitation to Aspergillus ELISpot assay interpretation.
