Bacterial vaginosis (BV) significantly increases the risk of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) like Chlamydia trachomatis and Gonorrhea in women. Vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) does not show this association, highlighting the need for comprehensive STI screening in BV patients.
