Abstract:
Rotator cuff tears are a common cause of shoulder dysfunction, and the management of remnant tendon during repair remains a clinical challenge. This article describes a technique that preserves tendon remnants by wrapping them in a fibrin clot, thereby enhancing the biological environment at the tendon-bone interface. The fibrin clot, prepared from the patient's venous blood using a simple and cost-effective method, provides a mechanical scaffold and promotes healing by delivering growth factors to the repair site. By preserving remnant tendon function and promoting biological healing, this fibrin clot-loaded technique offers a promising, practical solution for rotator cuff repair, which improves outcomes in both standard and challenging cases.
