The aging population necessitates proactive health interventions. This study evaluated the impact of a multicomponent group exercise program on physical performance and sleep quality in community-dwelling older adults using a quasi-experimental control-group design. The study was conducted in 2024 at a university-affiliated senior fitness club in central Taiwan, involving 80 participants from community care sites. The intervention group completed an 8-week multicomponent group exercise program, while the control group maintained their community activities. Physical performance and sleep quality were assessed before and after. After the intervention, the intervention group showed a significant difference in gait speed, upper limb muscle strength, sleep quality, and heart rate recovery. Between groups, significant differences were observed in arm curls, grip strength, and sleep quality in the posttest. An 8-week multicomponent group exercise program positively impacted muscle strength and sleep quality in older adults, supporting its implementation in community.Trial Registration: ClinicalTrials.gov, https://clinicaltrials.gov, NCT07598123.
