Abstract:
Double-bundle anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction is an anatomically more accurate reconstruction, with adequate graft thickness which allows for complete coverage of the anterior cruciate ligament footprint on both the femoral and tibial side. Our technique is a hybrid reconstruction of the 2 bundles, one fixed using all suspensory fixation and the other using a suspensory device on the femoral side and an interference fixation on the tibial side. This allows a more accurate reconstruction of the footprint with better rotational stability as seen with double-bundle anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
