Abstract:
Cs+-modified NaLuF4 nanocrystals exhibit enhanced X-ray excited optical luminescence (XEOL) and persistent luminescence (XEPL). The optimized NaLuF4:15Tb/16Cs sample shows 1.64- and 2.14-fold enhancements in XEOL and XEPL, respectively, owing to improved X-ray absorption induced by high-Z Cs ions. This strategy is also applicable to Pr3+- and Sm3+-doped systems, providing a general route to high-performance fluoride-based X-ray luminescent nanomaterials.
