Chitosan microspheres with radially aligned channels were fabricated by radial freeze-casting. The resulting directional channels enable rapid blood absorption, while trapping and concentrating coagulation components around bleeding sites. This structural design promotes localized clot formation and markedly enhances the overall hemostatic performance.
