In the mentioned paper, an interface reaction model (IRM) was proposed to determine sorption-desorption rate constants independently of operating parameters. Recently, commentary has been published that discusses some implicit assumptions made in developing the model, and at the end, the dimensional homogeneity of the IRM equations has been questioned. In response, the authors agree with the simplification made in developing the model but show that the model equations are dimensionally consistent. To diffuse any confusion in the future regarding dimensional consistency, the dimension of each term in IRM has been exclusively discussed.
