Abstract:
The conventional teaching of Biochemistry Experiment suffers from problems of insufficient high-level contents, lack of innovation, and weak challenge. In order to address these problems and achieve the goal of cultivating high-quality innovative talents in the field of bioengineering, we implemented teaching reforms from three aspects: reconstructing the course contents, innovating the teaching mode, and upgrading the assessment form. Firstly, we added comprehensive experimental projects, published new forms of teaching materials, and built a "three-in-one" course system. Secondly, we constructed a new teaching model characterized by blended teaching based on the Rain Classroom platform and the BOPPPS teaching model, forming a "before class-in class-after class" closed loop. Thirdly, we established a four-level training model encompassing fundamentality, comprehensiveness, design, and innovation, introduced the design-oriented experimental link, and achieved diversified assessment. After four years of teaching practice, the teaching evaluation score has increased by 13%, and course satisfaction has climbed to 95%. This teaching reform model has achieved positive results in practice, promoting the cultivation of innovative talents in bioengineering-related majors and providing a demonstration and leading role for developing high-quality experimental courses in similar majors.
