Paresthesia After Suzetrigine: A Second Report and Case Comparison

Suzetrigine, a new non-opioid analgesic for moderate to severe acute pain, has been commercially available since March of 2025. In two clinical trials for postoperative pain, the most common side effects were pruritis and muscle spasm. Last year, we presented a case of patient-reported paresthesia shortly after administration of this drug. The report and discussion below address a second instance of almost identical symptoms that occurred in another patient being treated for refractory postoperative pain.
