Abstract
None:
We report the synthesis of chloride-doped Cu2O nanocubes (Cl-Cu2O NCs) via a one-step electrodeposition. The incorporation of chlorine into the Cu2O lattice downshifts the exposure of additional active sites and the generation of reactive oxygen species. For HMF electrooxidation, Cl-Cu2O NCs achieve 98.3% FDCA selectivity and 97.9% Faradaic efficiency at 200 mA cm-2 with excellent stability.
