Abstract:
A series of ultrathin (~1.50-1.77 nm) mesoporous MOF (mMOF, mesopore of 7.5-46 nm) nanosheets, 2D mM-TCPP (M = Mg2+, Ca2+, or Sr2+), were fabricated via a dual-structure-directing-agent (DSDA) approach by utilizing PVP/1,3,5-trimethylbenzene co-templates. Stable 2D C12[mim]2ZnBr4@mMg-TCPP formed using multifunctional metal ionic liquid (MIL) guests gave 95% yield for styrene carbonate under cocatalyst, solvent-free and ambient conditions, showing remarkable overall reusability.
