Abstract:
Reversible fluoride ion (de)intercalation was demonstrated for the first time in a melilite-type oxide Sr2Fe2GeO7 as a cathode material for all-solid-state fluoride-ion batteries. The Sr2Fe2GeO7 cathode delivered a high reversible capacity (175 mAh g-1) using both Fe and anionic redox. Furthermore, it exhibited excellent cycling stability owing to its minimal volume change (0.23%).
