Moving Forward Together. Part 6: Transforming Musculoskeletal Health Physical Therapy for Indigenous Peoples-A Call
None:
SYNOPSIS: The Moving Forward Together series is a collective effort developed to inform, guide, and inspire musculoskeletal physical therapists to bring Indigenous health to the forefront of their work in clinical practice, research, and education, and to strengthen their roles as allies and advocates for Indigenous Communities. Here, we call on physical therapists, organizations, and systems to participate in a multisector effort to improve musculoskeletal care and outcomes for Indigenous Peoples. In this article, we humbly encourage our colleagues and friends to read and reflect on the recommendations from across the series and, where possible, take action. Making changes contributes to improved musculoskeletal health and well-being for all people-Indigenous and non-Indigenous. J Orthop Sports Phys Ther 2026;56(8):473-477.
