Summary

Dental MRI (dMRI) shows comparable reliability to cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) for identifying and measuring periodontal lesions. dMRI detected more lesions, suggesting higher sensitivity for periodontal disease, without added benefit from contrast agents.
