Elevated beta-2 microglobulin (β2-MG) is linked to peripheral neuropathy in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Early diagnosis of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) may be improved by monitoring β2-MG, age, uric acid, and albumin levels.
