[Surgical anatomy of the stellate ganglion]

Peculiarities in the shape, size, and skeletotopy of the stellate ganglion were revealed in examination of 56 specimens collected from cadavers of adult humans of both sexes differing in age. The topographo-anatomical interrelationship of the stellate ganglion and the structures surrounding it may be conducive to the development of the "sympathological cervico-ganglionic phenomenon" the clinical picture of which is due to circulatory disorders in the vertebrobasilar basin.
