Abstract:
Preclinical findings and preliminary human data show that exposure to trans-vaccenic acid (TVA) through maternal milk promotes Th1 immune responses and enhances offspring resistance to infection, even after TVA exposure ceases, revealing how subtle changes in maternal diet may durably shape immune trajectories.
