Quantitative PCR Bacterial Levels Cannot Distinguish Recurrent UTI from Other Non-infectious Urinary Symptoms

Quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) shows similar uropathogen levels in women with urinary tract infections (UTI), non-infectious lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), and controls. Caution is advised when using qPCR tests for UTI diagnosis in women without high suspicion.
