Fast volumetric light-field reconstruction via patch-wise Wiener-Butterworth deconvolution
Abstract:
We present patch-wise Wiener-Butterworth (PWB) deconvolution, an accelerated reconstruction framework that partitions Fourier light-field microscopy (FLFM) measurements into elemental patches and employs an unmatched back projector with a Wiener-Butterworth filter. This design reduces memory overhead, improves convergence speed, and suppresses amplification of high-frequency noise. Experimental validation demonstrates that PWB reduces reconstruction time by one to two orders of magnitude while enhancing contrast and resolving fine structural details. The proposed approach enables efficient, high-throughput 3D imaging of fast biological dynamics and facilitates practical deployment of FLFM in time-resolved functional studies.
