High-resolution imaging of interferenceless coded aperture correlation holography via resolution-enhanced point
Abstract:
Resolution is one of the key indicators for measuring the imaging performance of an optical system. To resolve the difficulty of directly obtaining a point spread hologram of an ideal-sized point object with high resolution and high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) through the Interferenceless coded aperture correlation holography system, we propose a method in this paper for directly calculating and obtaining a resolution-enhanced point spread hologram (RE-PSH) by large-sized point objects. In the proposed method, the RE-PSH is obtained via the modified deblurring by pixel reassignment algorithm, and a high-resolution point spread hologram library is further derived through a two-step iterative deconvolution method for 3D imaging. Simulations and experiments have demonstrated that the system maintains high resolution and high SNR in both 2D and 3D imaging even at light intensities 100 times higher than the ideal flux. The proposed method does not require recording information of an ideal-sized point object, which will significantly reduce the hardware requirements and computational complexity of the system, thereby providing a technical foundation for its application in weak-light imaging.

Phase Contrast and Differential Interference Contrast Microscopy
In-phase-contrast microscopes, interference between light directly passing through a cell and light refracted by cellular components is used to create high-contrast, high-resolution images without staining. It is the oldest and simplest type of microscope that creates an image by altering the wavelengths of light rays passing through the specimen. Altered wavelength paths are created using an annular stop in the condenser. The annular stop produces a hollow cone of...
