Dynamic modulation method for super-resolution wavefront reconstruction of a plenoptic sensor
Abstract:
Plenoptic sensors have found applications in wavefront detection in strong-turbulence environments, owing to their broad field-of-view and reduced susceptibility to phase aliasing. Nevertheless, their step-type slope response characteristics pose a limitation to further enhancing wavefront detection accuracy. In this paper, we introduce a new dynamic modulation method to our knowledge. This method enables the sensor to acquire multiple full-spectral images with distinct tilt modulations and subsequently fuse them into a single super-resolution plenoptic image. Both simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method substantially improves the accuracy of wavefront reconstruction when compared to other algorithms. The method proves effective for both point and extended targets and holds great promise for applications in fields such as astronomical observation, laser transmission, and computational imaging.
