Abstract:
Almost two centuries after their initial description in plants, persistent attachments between the plasma membrane and the cell wall are being revisited. Several recent studies highlight the roles of cellulose synthase, remorin, Feronia, lectin domains and boron crosslinks, and open new research avenues to explore plant resistance to water stress fluctuations.
