In this manuscript, I reflect, through an essay, on the existence of transgender children, starting from questioning the truth of narratives about oneself and the epistemic authority of the child to testify about their own gender identification. The proposed discussion aims to provide resources for reflection on the type of care these children need and how Public Health can be involved in this care.
