Abstract:
The perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) residue are considered as serious environmental pollution that create a great risk of exposure to humans and other living beings. Rapid, simple and sensitive detection technology of PFAS is necessary and challenging. Compared with conventional pretreatment techniques, magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) possesses several advantages of high efficiency, simplicity and rapid separation process. So an approach possesses these attractive merits is highly desired. An efficient and sensitive sorbent materials is of vital importance in MSPE pretreatment techniques. The self-assembly strategy was utilized to prepare novel graphene oxide (GO) on magnetic carbon (Fe3O4@C) particles in this work. The prepared materials GO@Fe3O4@C were used as sorbents in MSPE for six PFAS. Single factor experiment method was utilized to systematically evaluate the main extraction parameters influencing the adsorption efficiency. Wide linearities (0.01-1000 ng L-1) and low detection limits (0.003-0.02 ng L-1) for six PFAS were exhibited under optimal conditions. The proposed GO@Fe3O4@C/MSPE method was also used to monitor analytes in tea samples. These results demonstrated that GO@Fe3O4@C adsorbents would be potential alternatives for the adsorption and detection of PFAS at trace level from real samples. The design of GO@Fe3O4@C with high efficiency extraction is expected to provide new ideas and methods for trace PFAS determination and other structural analogues in environmental samples based on the prominent advantages. This method is simple, rapid, green and sensitive and could advance PFAS detection application in food industry.
