The use of race-based clinical algorithms contributes to population-level racial health inequities. To address these inequities, the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene convened 10 health systems in the Coalition to End Racism in Clinical Algorithms (CERCA). Our mixed-methods evaluation showed that health systems implemented algorithm change and provider education and that CERCA members perceived the coalition as a catalyst for systems-level change. CERCA is a replicable model for collaboration between public health and medicine to advance health equity and antiracist policy. (Am J Public Health.
