Abstract:
Menstrual blood-derived mesenchymal stem cells/stromal cells (MenSCs) are a new category of stem cells detected in female menstrual blood. They exhibit significant potential for disease treatment owing to their fast proliferation rate and capacity to differentiate into a variety of cell types, ease of collection, capacity for repeated non-invasive sampling, and minimal immunological rejection. This article examines the origin of MenSCs, their characteristics, and the most recent studies on their potential to address female infertility and enhance assisted reproductive outcomes. The objective is to propose innovative applications of stem cells for addressing female infertility.
