Abstract:
Aceruloplasminemia (ACP) often presents with systemic, psychiatric, and neurological features. In this case, diabetes mellitus was diagnosed several years before psychiatric symptoms, which were then followed by neurological decline, which significantly delayed diagnosis. This case highlights the importance of considering metabolic and neurodegenerative causes in atypical psychiatric presentations and expands the genetic spectrum with a novel CP gene mutation.
