Differentiating diabetic kidney disease (DKD) from non-diabetic kidney disease remains challenging. Here, a NGAL-directed covalent organic framework-based fluorescent immunosensor has been developed for rapid DKD stratification with >90% sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic accuracy.
