Abstract:
Conceptual framework linking anthropogenic chemical complexity to the restructuring of microbial resilience in the Anthropocene. Persistent, low-dose chemical mixtures can reorganize microbial coordination networks, regulatory and metabolic processes, and ecological memory, thereby altering functional redundancy, adaptive capacity, and disturbance-recovery dynamics. The lower panel illustrates a possible threshold-like transition where reinforcing feedbacks support alternative functional regimes, rather than a universal response to chronic chemical pressure.
