Abstract:
Trauma exposure is common among school-aged children. Pediatricians are called upon to provide trauma-informed care (TIC) to support early identification and treatment. Understanding patients' school experiences can help to uncover trauma symptoms. Partnering with schools can improve the delivery of supports for children who have experienced trauma. This article provides practical tips to integrate school perspectives into TIC in pediatric settings.
