Cloning and Characterizing Multidrug Efflux Pumps

Abstract:
This protocol describes how to clone and investigate multidrug efflux pumps from plasmids to be expressed in E. coli and P. aeruginosa. We want to provide a quick overview for those starting with RND-type efflux pump research or facing cloning issues by sharing an updated method we have recently been using to clone multiple functional pumps and complex components quickly and efficiently.
