Specimen data from herbarium species were collected and recorded. Type specimens and synonymy were determined for each species.
Key Results:
A new species endemic to Vaupés, Colombia is described and illustrated. It is compared to the other neotropical species of Gnetum. A key to the nine neotropical Gnetum species is given as well as descriptions of those species with relevant specimen citations, distributions, and images.
