Abstract:
Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) remains substantially underdiagnosed in the general Indian population despite its rapidly increasing burden and close association with metabolic disorders. Therefore, it is of interest to evaluate the prevalence of NAFLD among Indian adults. Hence, 490 participants were included in the study. We identified NAFLD in 44.5% of population. NAFLD now poses a significant health challenge in India. Its strong association with obesity, diabetes, and dyslipidemia highlights the urgent need for targeted public health strategies and early intervention.
