[Robotic Surgery Reaching a New Stage:Advances in Vascular and Bronchial Reconstruction]

Thoracotomy is still frequently selected for vascular and bronchial reconstruction. However, if these procedures can be safely performed using a minimally invasive approach, patients may benefit greatly through accelerated postoperative recovery. In this study, we reviewed the perioperative outcomes of robotic vascular and bronchial reconstruction performed at our department( March 2024 to July 2025:one case of vascular and bronchial reconstruction and seven cases of bronchoplasty) and compared them with those of thoracotomy cases( November 2012 to July 2025, 53 cases) to evaluate the feasibility and advantages of the robotic approach. Furthermore, based on our experience, we discuss key technical strategies and considerations essential for completing these procedures safely and efficiently.
