Abstract:
The article "Tetrahydrocurcumin Provides Neuroprotection in Experimental Traumatic Brain Injury and the Nrf2 Signaling Pathway as a Potential Mechanism." [Neuroimmunomodulation. 2018;24(6):348-355. https://doi.org/10.1159/000487998] by Guan Wei, Bingji Chen, Qingjiang Lin, Yasong Li, Liangqin Luo, Hefan He, and Huangde Fu has been retracted by the Publisher and the Editor.After publication, concerns were identified regarding image duplication within this article and between Figures 2 and 3 the above article and a previously published article [1]. Specifically,Figure 3e Nrf2 is duplicated as Figure 3g Nrf2 in this article.Figure 2a of this article overlaps with Figure 2a of [1].Figure 3a of this article overlaps with Figure 5a of [1].Figure 3d of this article overlaps with Figure 5d of [1].Figure 3e and 3g Nrf2 of this article are presented as Nrf2 in Figure 5e of [1].When asked to comment, the corresponding author stated that this image duplication may be due to use of shared experimental equipment. Following editorial review of the concerns and the response, it was concluded that these concerns impacted the reliability of the results in the article and therefore, the article has been retracted.The authors agree to the retraction.
