Abstract:
We evaluated the accuracy of commonly used empirical resting oxygen consumption (VO2) equations in adults with a Fontan circulation. We compared estimated with directly measured resting VO2 and quantified the downstream impact on indirect Fickderived systemic blood flow. The objective was to determine whether these formulas are reliable for individualized Fontan hemodynamic assessment.
