Abstract:
Radiopharmaceutical therapy has always been an essential component of nuclear medicine practice; however, its rapid expansion in the past 5-10 y has created an increased demand for practitioners trained in this specific subspecialty, which we term nuclear oncology. This review discusses training needs for nuclear oncology or theranostics, the approach to education in theranostics, and soft skills for theranostics practice. This review is intended to guide and facilitate ongoing discussion and debate on this important topic.
