Abstract:
Chronic cervicitis is a clinical syndrome characterized by persistent inflammation of the cervical epithelium that is often associated with vaginal discharge, dyspareunia, post-coital bleeding, and fatigue. This prospective case series included three patients diagnosed with chronic cervicitis based on clinical and diagnostic findings. A Unani herbal vaginal douche was prepared and administered once daily for 21 days, and the patients were followed up for 2 months. Symptoms improved in all three patients. This case series highlights that Unani herbal vaginal douche may represent a potentially useful and well-tolerated complementary therapeutic option for chronic cervicitis. However, larger controlled studies are needed to confirm these findings and establish the efficacy and safety of this intervention.
