Abstract:
The increasing rates of breast cancer are often linked to a lack of awareness among women about prevention strategies, limited access to comprehensive, multidisciplinary treatment, and challenges related to resources and infrastructure needed for early detection, diagnosis, and treatment. Despite the availability of research and medical interventions, these advancements have not yet been fully integrated into practice and policy, particularly in the Philippines. This underscores the importance of dissemination and implementation (D&I) science in advancing the use of evidence-based interventions for breast cancer, with the ultimate goal of enhancing patient outcomes. The proposed D&I framework focuses on enhancing public and community engagement, as well as fostering the implementation of clinical practices aimed at breast cancer control. This article proposes a framework for coupling D&I science with breast cancer control and management initiatives in the Philippines.
