Abstract:
The pneumoperitoneum is usually a surgical emergency in neonates. It may be idiopathic in some cases like in pre‑term and low‑birth‑weight babies. These cases can be managed conservatively and surgery can be avoided. Prudent selection of cases can prevent surgical exploration of neonates. We present three neonatal cases, in which conservative management for pneumoperitoneum was done.
